India Art Fair 2023 opens its doors to the largest and most diverse line-up of cutting-edge contemporary, modern, and digital artists, amidst a thriving art market and strong community support.
From the 9th through the 12th of February, 2023, India Art Fair returns to the NSIC Exhibition Grounds in New Delhi.
Taking place annually in India’s capital, New Delhi, the fair is the leading platform to discover Modern and Contemporary art from South Asia, offering a unique access point to the region’s thriving cultural scene. It reflects the city’s fast-developing local arts scene, while offering curated insights into the cultural landscapes of neighboring countries.
Led in partnership with BMW India and with artists’ voices at its center, the fair will present 85 exhibitors, including 71 galleries and 14 institutions, and a whole new space dedicated to Digital Art.
The fair will include both some of India’s most important contemporary art galleries, as well as international ones, presenting established names and promising young talents.
The 2023 edition also marks the launch of The Studio. Inviting audiences to explore and experience the power of digital art, The Studio will house an arresting selection of tech-meets-art projects and installations. This will include a dedicated Digital Residency Hub showcasing artworks made by the three India Art Fair Digital Artists in Residence, Mira Felicia Malhotra, Gaurav Ogale, and Varun Desai, in response to the theme ‘Finding the Extraordinary in the Ordinary’.
Finally, this year the fair is also introducing the Young Collectors Hub at Bikaner House, in the heart of New Delhi. Creating a new platform for discovering and engaging with contemporary art, this exciting new initiative will feature a range of engaging and thought-provoking exhibitions and performances. Beyond the hub, the Young Collectors Programme will feature collector nights and tours of the new art neighborhoods of Delhi, including Studio Art, Pulp Society, and ArtBuzz in Okhla and shows by India and Art Incept at Stir Gallery in Chattarpur.
